Building sustainability

Accelerating the transition to a more sustainable building materials sector

The BMF’s vision is to build excellence in the building materials sector. Improving sustainability and meeting government targets are major challenges and the BMF is playing a leading role.

A working group was established in 2022, led by Giles Bradford, Bradfords, to tackle the issue, working collaboratively to provide practical guidance to BMF members.

The group has now produced 3 annual ‘state of play’ research reports, tips to help members accelerate their sustainability journey and guidance into creating the first standardised sustainability data criteria for the BMF’s product data template.
