Mental Health Basics for the Workplace: 20th May 2026 9.30-10.30

Delegates will explore what mental health is and be given the confidence to promote mental health awareness in the workplace. The course gives delegates the ability to recognise poor mental health and the understanding to how to support positive wellbeing for themselves and others.

This course provides an introduction to the key aspects of men’s health, focusing on both physical and mental wellbeing. It is designed to increase awareness, challenge stigma, and equip participants with practical knowledge to support healthier lifestyles.

Why men often don’t seek help (stigma, “tough it out” culture)

Raise awareness about stress, anxiety, and depression in men.

Supporting Colleagues Through Challenging Times: 28th May 2026 11.00-12.00

Supporting colleagues through challenging times is a practical, skills-based session designed to help participants respond confidently and compassionately when a colleague may be experiencing difficulty. In any workplace, individuals may face personal or professional challenges that affect their wellbeing, performance, and engagement. This course equips participants with the awareness, communication skills, and boundaries needed to provide appropriate support without overstepping their role.

Identify common personal and work-related challenges that affect wellbeing

Spot behavioural and emotional signs that may indicate distress or reduced coping

Use open and supportive questions to encourage conversation

Apply active listening techniques such as reflection, empathy, and non-judgemental responses

Signpost colleagues to relevant support resources when needed

Recognise personal limits when supporting colleague
