Application for BMF Service Membership

Application Criteria

Service membership of the BMF may be open to applicants complying with the following rules:

  • Applicants should be specialist suppliers of equipment, services or advice to builders merchants, subject to a minimum of two recommendations from Full Members of the BMF.
  • A firm may be admitted to Service Membership if its registration will improve the relationship and service between merchants and the providers of their main services.
  • Applicants are generally expected to pursue an acceptable service to all members, with particular or preferential terms offered.
  • Applicants must, in general, be nationwide or substantial regional suppliers to members of the BMF.
  • The decision of the Membership Panel is final and no reasoning will be given.

The advantages of BMF Service Membership include:

  • Forging closer relationships with your merchant customers.
  • Opportunities to attend, by invitation, BMF meetings and seminars.
  • The use of the special BMF Service Member logotype. This is strongly recommended for use with letterheadings, all literature and advertising.
  • Being recognised as a specialist supplier to BMF Members.
