Application for BMF Merchant Membership
Application Criteria
You must be a bonafide builders, plumbers, timber, heating or decorators merchant who:
- Have a minimum annual turnover of £250,000 or higher.
- A substantial proportion of this should come from ex-stock sales.
- Have been trading for 2 years and be able to supply audited accounts
- Supplies predominantly to the trade and has facilities for and carries adequate stocks appropriate to the needs of the district.
- Operate from proper premises with sound stock levels, yard layout and good calibre of staff.
- Grant credit facilities and have a reasonable number of credit accounts.
- Offer a delivery service
- Have no inter-trading connection with any builder, plumber or heating engineer which exceeds 25% of your total turnover. However applicants who have involvement with bathroom and kitchen installation may apply for membership regardless.
