Course overview 
This course will help you understand the build process involved during a residential new build project. You will explore the different phases of a residential project from design to finishing, the different packages of work at each construction phase, and the different sub-contractors who are likely to be involved. Different types of residential new build projects will be covered including traditional, timber frame and SIPS panels, you will also look at mixed use, flats and retirement homes. For each construction phase, you will identify the different products building contractors and different sub-contractors might require including potential “add-on” sale opportunities.You will also explore the buying influences that could affect the purchasing decisions made by your customers, and some of the common terminology used within the industry.
