Bradfords Builders Merchants has donated vital PPE


Bradford has donated PPEBradfords Builders Merchants has donated vital personal protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare professionals.

The company has provided equipment including eye protection and face masks in a bid to tackle the shortages faced in the healthcare sector.

Bradfords Building Supplies orchestrated a response from the 45 stores across its network, in line with a national appeal from the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) for donations of PPE from across its membership.

Giles Bradford, Communications and Engagement Manager of Bradfords Building Supplies, said: “We were delighted to help with the donation of PPE.

“It’s vital that as much equipment goes to the healthcare sector as possible and we have been able to co-ordinate our efforts collectively into helping bring together supplies.”

John Newcomb, Chief Executive of the BMF, said: “Bradfords Building Supplies has generously stepped forward with a donation from its Ross-on-Wye branch, as well as other locations within its network.

“Our members play a key role in the community and the unique nature of their work, and their stock of PPE, puts them in a good position to make a difference to our healthcare professionals at this difficult time.”
