Sector Awareness Programme - Member Launch

Launching Building Materials Sector
'Launching' the Building Materials Sector. This most important member event will provide essential information to members on the forthcoming roll out of the Building Materials Sector Awareness programme of activity. THIS EVENT IS CURRENTLY FULLY BOOKED UP.

The Sector Awareness Programme is the BMF’s highest profile initiative designed to make us much more attractive to career starters, career switchers and talented people already employed in the sector.

What is this event for?

It is a full briefing on our long-term communications programme to:

  • Raise awareness of our sector
  • Position it as a vital, varied, vibrant, stable sector with attractive career opportunities
  • Help us to build pride in what we do to attract, retain and grow talent

Who Should attend?

With the BMF membership climbing up towards nearly 1,000 member organisations and with a theatre capacity of 200 we need to be mindful of making sure we reach the people who really need to be supporting this programme in your business. As every business is different you will be best placed to determine who should attend. We would suggest that this most important briefing is relevant to owners, MD's and other directors who would have a responsibility in this area. We would also like every member business to set up (and advise us of their details please) a designated 'Campaign Owner' who will be the key contact for us and who will drive through the internal and external communications for you - this may be a marketing or HR person in your organisation. To enable as many members as possible to attend, we request that members generally look to register a maximum of 2 places per member business only please, but if you need to register additional people just let us know and we will normally be able to accommodate your request.

What will I learn on the day?

• Hear the full programme details
• Be the first to see the building materials sector film
• Explore the new building materials sector website
• Get hold of the campaign 'member toolkit'
• Be fully informed about how to make the most of the programme to benefit your business
• Ask questions of the expert panel and Sector Awareness working group
