Application for BMF Supplier Membership

• You should be a manufacturer of goods used in the construction industry, or be an extractor of bulk materials used in the industry.
• You may be admitted to Supplier Membership if, in the opinion of the Membership Panel, your membership will improve the relationship between merchants and the providers of their main commodities.
• You will be expected to pursue an acceptable merchants trading policy, with preferential terms offered for stockholding merchants.
• You may be either a nationwide or regional supplier to merchant members of the BMF.

You will be expected to comply with the terms of the BMF Supplier Charter regarding the following positive expectations of trading between you and your merchant customers:

• Prompt and fair dealings with Merchant Member customers
• Help to stock and display your products
• Provide sustainable products and materials
• Provide technical support and product training
• Commitment to improve the effectiveness of the building materials supply chain.

• Forging closer relations with your merchant customers
• Opportunity to use the BMF as a forum for discussing matters of the moment
• Attending Supplier Member Liaison meetings, BMF local, regional and national meetings, forums, seminars and the annual national conference
• Developing product specific training courses
• Marketing benefits - use can be made of the special BMF Supplier logotype. This is strongly recommended for use with Supplier letterheadings, all literature and advertising.
