Politicians visit builders merchants and manufacturers
Most politicians have little or no grasp of how materials & products arrive at the end-user. To overcome this, we take them to visit merchants or manufacturers in their constituency to gain insight into a local business and the building materials’ supply chain.
The gallery shows a selection of visits successfully completed. More are in the pipeline, as diaries and the weather permit. In the last 18 months, we were pleased to have welcomed Government Ministers and Opposition Party Spokesmen to some of our members’ branches, showrooms or factories, including:
Conservative
Minister for Business & Enterprise visited RGB Building Supplies in Penzance
Minister for Local Government visited Myers Building Supplies in Keighley
Minister for Housing & Planning visited Jackson Buildbase in Lincoln
Secretary of State for Wales visited LBS Builders Merchant in Pembroke Dock
Secretary of State for Scotland visited Dumfries Timber Head Office in Dumfries
Labour
Party Policy Review Co-ordinator visited Nicholls & Clarke Head Office in Dagenham
Leader of Newcastle City Council visited JT Dove Head Office in Newcastle
Buildbase Lincoln RGB Penzance Dumfries
LBS Pembroke Dock Myers Keighley
