Businesses across the Travis Perkins plc group have pulled together to support the national effort during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Travis Perkins, Benchmarx, BSS, CCF, Keyline, Toolstation, Wickes and Tile Giant, as well as the Group’s Plumbing & Heating businesses City Plumbing / PTS and the Underfloor Heating Store, have all played their part in supporting the NHS and other care professionals on the front line.

The Group has pooled stock to provide extensive donations of PPE to local NHS trusts across the country and provided vital construction equipment and materials to critical infrastructure, such as the NHS Nightingale hospitals to help build capacity in the health service at this challenging time.

“Our business is all about building strong relationships locally and in these unprecedented times, that approach has been vital. We’ve been able to donate masks, gloves, safety goggles and other vital PPE, such as disposable respirators, but also materials such as vanity units, plumbing and electrical items, plaster boards, timber and paint for new clinic rooms at our local NHS trusts to help the front-line staff there, who are working so tirelessly through this challenging time. We are all so grateful to them,” explained Andrew Harrison, who is CEO of the Group’s Plumbing and Heating businesses.

Travis Perkins is a member of the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF), which has driven an appeal for donations of PPE for the healthcare sector across its membership.
